AN INVESTIGATION INTO RESOURCES FOR TEACHING TRANSLATION AT UNIVERSITY OF FOREIGN LANGUAGES, HUE UNIVERSITY

Abstract

The article reports the major findings of a small research project which aims to investigate the materials which are currently used in the translation classes in the BA Translation Course at University of Foreign Languages, Hue University. By documenting the teachers’ and students’ perceptions involved, it shows that there are some difficulties in choosing the right materials for teaching translation. There is also a mitchmatch beween the topics being taught and the real translation market. The research also seeks to offer some recommendations which aim to enhance the teaching of translation at University of Foreign Languages, Hue University and other similar universities.
