PERCEPTION ON EDUCATIONAL VALUES ABOUT LIFE IN SOME AMERICAN LITERARY WORKS

Abstract

Literature always plays an important role in forming students’good awareness of life through educational values of literary works.  Therefore, American literature is a helpful subject for EFL students because it can help them not only improve their skills but also enhance their perception on life. Consequently, this study is carried out by asking 121 EFl students to do the questionaires in combination with some interviews in order to investigate educational values about life that EFL students can perceive from learning American literature as well as grasp their thinking about learning this subject. The study hopes to help teachers have better evaluation on teaching the literary works so as to promote their educational values for EFl students in an effective way
