PEER FEEDBACK DURING PARAGRAPH WRITING BY FIRST- YEAR ENGLISH MAJORS’ AT UNIVERSITY OF FOREIGN LANGUAGES, HUE UNIVERSITY

This paper investigated the process of giving peer feedback in paragraph writing and its effectiveness on final products. The questionnaire was delivered to one hundred first- year English majors from three Writing classes at Faculty of English, University of Foreign Languages, Hue University. The finding showed that peer feedback played a significant role in paragraph writing. Most of the participants highly appreciated the effectiveness of peer feedback, especially in terms of peer remarks and peer suggestions in improving the quality of their final writing papers. However, it was also found that there was still a lack of clarity in instructions, posing certain obstacles for some students to carry out the task effectively
