Abstract

Amidst the growing interest in artificial intelligence (AI) across various fields, including education, this study is conducted to examine the impact of AI on language use in media from a cognitive linguistic perspective. The research compiled 1,024 metaphorical expressions collected from 165 news articles in the Education and Times during 2023-2024. These were categorized into six metaphor models, which were then analyzed to illuminate how AI integrates into Vietnamese society, thereby revealing cultural characteristics and the linguistic thinking of the Vietnamese people. Based on the findings, the authors proposed several practical applications in the field of translation studies.
