Abstract

This paper aimed to investigate the self-regulated learning (SRL) strategies by non-English major students at Hue University to achieve the required learning outcomes – level 3/6 (VNFLPR) – set by the National Foreign Language Project. A questionnaire was administered and interviews were then conducted to collect more information for the study. The study found that students employed various SRL strategies such as personal, behavioral, and environmental strategies in the process of learning English. Some pedagogical implications for EFL teachers as well as language learners at Hue University were also discussed
