The public speaking performance by 2nd year students of French

Abstract

Public presentations in general and presentations in foreign languages in particular play an important role in the educational and professional environment. This article will explore the public speaking performance by 2nd year students of French at the University of Foreign Languages and International Studies, Hue University, and point out difficulties students often encounter. Through surveying and interviewing students and teachers, we found that most students were still quite confused when practicing and presenting in French in public and they often have difficulty with vocabulary, grammar, accent, pronunciation, and body language.
